State Law Library The primary mission of the Idaho State Law Library is to assist the Idaho Supreme Court in carrying out its responsibility for the administration of justice in the state and to help increase the public's access to and understanding of the court system. This mission is accomplished by acquiring and maintaining appropriate legal resources; promulgating policies and rules for the use of these materials; and regularly reviewing the programs, policies and services of the library to ensure that they meet the current and future needs of the Court and other library patrons.
University Of Idaho College Of Law Library The Law Library operates as the laboratory for the College of Law, housing materials that are used to support the academic program of the College and the research interests of Law faculty and students. Numbering over 190,000 volumes and volume equivalents, the collection has primary materials, in the form of statutes and court reporters, for the federal system and all of the states. Secondary materials, consisting of treatises, law reviews, and looseleaf services, round out the American law collection. There is also a working collection of UK and Canadian primary and secondary materials, and a growing International Law collection. College of Law faculty, staff, and students also have individual access to LEXIS and WESTLAW, and a host of other electronic databases are accessible from the Law Library web site.
