Law Library Of Louisiana - Located in the Supreme Court Building in New Orleans, the Law Library of Louisiana provides valuable services and resources for the judiciary, the bar, and the public throughout the state and beyond. The library, which was founded in 1855, now contains nearly 230,000 volumes in print and microform, including the complete chronology of both statutes and court reports for all fifty states and the federal government. Naturally, the collection of Louisiana legal materials is particularly rich historically.
Loyola University New Orleans Law Library - The Law Library has a collection of over 286,000 volumes and microform equivalents which has the primary purpose of supporting the curriculum and research needs of the School of Law faculty and students. The collection is comprised of federal and state legal research sources, specific subject materials, foreign, international, comparative, and civil law materials, and law-related books. The microform collection includes United States Supreme Court records and briefs, state bar journals, and legal treatises from the nineteenth century.
Louisiana State University Law School - The LSU Law Library is one of the 20 largest academic law libraries in the United States, and now holds more than 423,000 volumes, plus 386,000 volumes in microforms, and 144,000 court records. In addition to the standard Anglo-American legal materials, the library has substantial collections of foreign, international, and comparative law. It is a selective depository for U.S. Government documents and Louisiana documents, and a depository for Louisiana Supreme Court and Courts of Appeal briefs and records. The Law Library is located in the Paul M. Hebert Law Center on the Louisiana State University (LSU) campus.
Southern University Law Center Law Library - The Law Library contains approximately 426,386 volumes and offers research assistance and reference service to students, faculty, and the public. The library collection adequately supports the curriculum and conforms to the standards of the American Bar Association of American Law Schools. Both the federal and the Louisiana State governments have designated Southern University Law Center Library as an official depository for government documents
Tulane University Law School Library - The Tulane University Law School Library serves the community of Tulane Law School faculty, students, and staff. The library has a collection of approximately 400,000 volumes, including standard sources on U.S. federal and state law, foreign, international, and comparative law, civil law, and maritime materials.
