Please Click Below to Continue Maine State Law And Legislative Library - The Maine State Law and Legislative Reference Library is established by statute as a nonpartisan service office of the Maine Legislature. The Library serves the public interest by providing legal and governmental information services without discrimination to the people of Maine, their government and the legal community. The Library is a selective depository for federal government documents and conforms to the requirements established by the Government Printing Office. The Library also selects state documents distributed by the Maine State Library through the state documents depository program. University Of Maine Donald L. Garbrecht Law Library - The Donald L. Garbrecht Law Library, named for the Law Librarian who served the school from 1963 to 1979, contains over 300,000 volumes, entirely shelved in open stacks. Our library supports Law School curricular needs, as well as in-depth student and faculty legal research and writing. As a U.S. government publications depository, the law library receives federal publications which support law student and faculty research. The law library has a complete collection of federal and state statutes and law reports, as well as a comprehensive collection of Canadian and British Commonwealth law reports and statutes. Our periodical collection is outstanding and features most American, Canadian, and British legal periodicals. In addition, there is an excellent collection of recent Congressional hearings, reports, and bills. Nathan And Henry B. Cleaves Law Library - The Nathan and Henry B. Cleaves Law Library exists to serve in a professional, efficient and modern manner, the educational, historical and legal research needs of its members, and to provide access to such information to the general public, utilizing the most modern technology possible, and to preserve and maintain legal materials and artifacts that are in the Library’s care. The Library strives to maintain a complete and up-to-date collection of materials in an appropriate physical setting, and to deliver competent, professional research assistance that allows Library members to make full use of the Library’s resources. The Library will be responsive to the changing needs of its members, and provide a cost-efficient means to share legal resource costs and resources for the benefit of all.
