Detroit College of Law at Michigan State University
Michigan State University-DCL College of Law does not discriminate on the basis of gender, disability, race, color, religion, sexual orientation, age, or national or ethnic origin in its educational programs, admissions policies, employment policies, or other school-administered programs. This policy is enforced by federal law under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 623 of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
Thomas M. Cooley Law School
Our size permits us to offer classes year-around; to have classes that allow students to attend exclusively in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends; to enroll students for classes beginning three times per year; and to allow students to attend full-time or part-time and to graduate in as few as two and as many as five calendar years.
In addition to the diversity of courses, programs, and activities, Cooley's size allows us to provide an opportunity for law study to a diverse student body. Our size means that we have more students in each ethnic and racial group than nearly all schools. That diversity means that our students gain societal, cultural, racial, and ethnic perspectives. It also means that we can provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for persons with diverse backgrounds.

University of Michigan Law School
The law comes alive because of our students. They come from every corner of the country and around the globe, bringing remarkable talents and achievements. While here, they challenge each other to view interesting and difficult legal or social problems deeply and from new perspectives. And, perhaps uniquely among our peer institutions, the students sustain this stimulating intellectual environment while nurturing a wonderfully supportive, collegial, and open atmosphere.
Our scholar-teachers are of a quality and breadth unsurpassed in legal education. The grand stone walls of our School prove permeable, as for the past several decades our faculty has become internationally renowned for their interdisciplinary approach to the study of law and legal institutions. My colleagues display a broader range of academic interests and expertises than you will find in any other law school. And at the same time, through their scholarship and public service they shape the world of law and policy in concrete ways, influencing governmental decisionmakers and frequently doing stints as such decisionmakers themselves.
