Virginia State Law Library The Virginia State Law Library is a reference collection serving the research needs of the justices of the Supreme Court of Virginia and their staff, the judges of the Virginia Court of Appeals and their staff, the office of the Governor, members of the General Assembly, judges of other courts, and practicing attorneys in good standing. (See, §42.1-64 Virginia Code Annotated.) The court, at its discretion, expanded the above user group to include paralegals working under the supervision of an attorney, and law students. While library staff members do respond to telephone, mail and e-mail requests received from all those who inquire, the library proper is not open to the general public.
Appalachian School Of Law Library The Appalachian School of Law Library offers students, faculty, staff, the bench and bar, and the general public access to over 175,000 volumes of legal materials. The Library maintains a core collection of federal and regional reporters, all federal and state codes, citators, and over 3600 periodical subscriptions. The Library also subscribes to a number of online databases. Anyone may access the Library's online catalog by using computers located throughout the Library, or through the Internet.
College Of William & Mary School Of Law Library The Law Library's 380,000 volume collection, comfortable building, and service-oriented staff offers students and other users an excellent setting for study and research. The collection offers a strong combination of primary and secondary materials in Anglo-American law, including an extensive collection of reported decisions, statutes, and administrative materials from the U.S. and abroad. Our considerable treatise collection is particularly strong in the areas of constitutional law, environmental law, public and private international law, jurisprudence, legal history, Roman law, and taxation.
George Mason School Of Law Library The George Mason University School of Law Library is an academic research center that supports the information needs of the faculty and students of the School of Law.
Regent University Law Library Regent University Law Library occupies the entire third floor of the 150,000 square-foot University Library building, immediately adjacent to the School of Law. The current collection contains over 350,000 volumes and is more than sufficient to support the curriculum and research needs of the law school. In addition to print materials, holdings include a substantial CD-ROM collection, and extensive microfilm and microfiche resources.
University Of Richmond William Taylor Muse Law Library The William Taylor Muse Law Library is open to the University of Richmond Community, members of the Bar and the general public. Necessarily, the Library's services are concentrated on the students and faculty of the Law School, although every effort is expended to make the collection accessible to all potential users in the Richmond Metropolitan area.
University Of Virginia School Of Law Library The Arthur J. Morris Law Library, with 88,370 square feet of space and more than 860,000 volumes, is one of the largest law libraries in the country. It supports research in Anglo-American, comparative, and international law. Maritime law scholars around the world know its outstanding Oceans Collection. Among its other special collections are titles chosen by Thomas Jefferson for the University Library when it opened in 1825, as well as first editions of leading scholars in English common law, including Glanville, Coke, Bracton, and Blackstone.
Washington And Lee School Of Law Library The resources of W&L's law library are impressive. Whatever you need, it's here. In addition to its holdings, the Lewis F. Powell, Jr. Archives house the Supreme Court and professional papers of former Supreme Court Justice Powell, a graduate of Washington and Lee's college and law school. Computer clusters augment the wireless communication hubs throughout the building, so access to electronic databases is virtually unlimited.
Alexandria Law Library The Alexandria Law Library provides legal reference materials, forms and the services of a professional law librarian for the benefit of the entire Alexandria community, including its citizens, government agencies, local businesses, judiciary and members of the Bar.
Norfolk Law Library With over 40,000 volumes, the Law Library's collection contains the published opinions of all state and federal courts; local, state, and federal statutes and administrative regulations; and sources such as legal periodicals and newspapers, treatises, form books, loose-leaf services and reference tools.
